Two events - Gift of Isha and Nullify - are the other half of the equation. Which is better of these two? That's down to style.Įldorath - Eldorath's ability is the main strength here, as its a built in repeatable answer to threats, a command trick and combat trick all on one. When building Space Marines, you're never filling the gaps, but rather making hard cuts to get down to 50. They also have great 2-shielders in general, and solid units throughout. The main edge here is the high amount of untelegraphed combat swings they're capable of: Indomitable, Crushing Blow, Drop Pod Assault, Eager Recruit, to name but a few. It doesn't really matter that they don't have a huge amount of ability to "answer" threats, because they're in possession of most of the threats that needs answering. Please, please, disagree.Ĭato and Ragnar - Space marines have the best combat units, the best combat tricks and can excess the two best allied factions for command boosts. However, I'm very aware that with some warlords I can give a decent match against strong players, and with some warlords I offer them no contest at all. I'm an average player who can consistently beat weak players, and consistently lose to strong ones. Its more that a good Cato player will beat a good Zarathur player who will beat a good Urien player. Lets be clear here: I'm not saying that a good Urien player won't beat a bad Cato player. Despite being someone who has always said player skill is more important than deck, and individual deck is more important than faction, I can't help but observe that some Warlords are definitely stronger than others.
